rio de janeiro, july 18 (xinhua) -- chile international midfielder jorge valdivia has ended speculation about his future by agreeing to remain at brazilian club palmeiras for at least another year.
valdivia vowed never to play in brazil again after he and his wife were briefly kidnapped and robbed in sao paulo last month.
"there has been a lot of talk about him, but he is going to stay with us and complete his contract," palmeiras vice-president roberto frizzo said on tuesday.
